Personal Information Protection Statement
According to the Personal Data Protection Act, College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (hereinafter NYCU ECE) issues its statement of personal data protection and collection agreement to notify you of your responsibilities and rights and solicit your consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data by NYCU ECE.
- Purpose of Personal Information Collection: Review of teacher recruitment and use of related tasks.
- Code Types of Identification: For the teacher appointment review process, your name, contact information, service unit, job title, educational background, academic performance, and other related information that can directly or indirectly identify your identity may be collected.
- Duration, recipients, and methods of personal data usage
- When：The duration of the specified purpose for which the personal information was collected, the length of the period of preservation according to the preservation of the relevant laws and regulations, or the period of preservation required by the school for the execution of teaching and administrative related business.
- Who：The data will be used exclusively by the teachers and relevant staff in our institution for the appointment process and will not be used for any other purpose, unless previously stated, necessary to complete the appointment process, or required by applicable laws, regulations, or authorized requests. Otherwise, personal data that can identify the user will not be shared with third parties or used for purposes beyond the original intent.

- The rights that the individual can exercise regarding their personal data： The individual has the right to request to view, provide a copy, correct the data, and request to stop using or delete personal data.
- Complete and accurate disclosure： You are free to choose whether or not to provide relevant personal data. However, If you refuse to provide the required personal data, our institution will be unable to conduct the necessary review and processing and, therefore, will not be able to proceed with your application or related procedures.
- The right to revise： NYCU ECE reserves the right to revise this statement and related notices at any time. Any revisions will be published on the institute's official website without individual notification.
